Keeping Track of the Looting

In their last year the Bush gang is going to try to loot the US, and they're making a good start at it. Let's review the past week-

On Wall Street, another $100 billion for financiers who "lost" money, that is to say, for the money-managers who got performance bonuses while their customers actually found their money was missing.

In Oregon, the environmental laws will be cancelled so the BLM can "sell" thousands of acres of protected timber. Guess what, each "sale" costs the taxpayers money.

In Washington DC the FCC is preparing to give away the major media markets to the industry moguls who can best establish a monopoly in each area.

On another front, the Bushies are preparing another raid on the Social Security funds. After all, the billion a week they're spending on their friends at Blackwater and Halliburton has to come from somewhere.

Well, that's some of the news from one week of the looting. It's going to be a long year, a very long year indeed.
